Step 1 FEEL

1. Ugly scratched classroom walls. 2. Bad handwriting of our friends. 3. Waste of electricity at homes. 4. Traffic problems.

We decide to fix the problem of our damaged classroom walls. this was really a major conern because • We realized our mistakes. • We had faced several warnings from teachers and School authorities • It reflected a bad impression about us, our classrooms and school.

Off course everyone in the school were affected by this problem. The classrooms looked dirty. The management was disgusted to get the walls painted every year. Children were warned strictly to keep to classrooms clean . Teachers were insisted to monitor their class room discipline and neatness by the school authorities.

Step 2 IMAGINE

• Students decided to paint the wall by themselves • Place School bags between the table and wall. • appoint a bench monitor to watch keenly and report it to the class teacher. • appreciating the well maintained classroom in the assembly. • Nail a wooden beading covered with sponge at the height of the bench.

We decided to fix a wooden beading on the wall covered with sponge/ flannel at the height of the bench. Later, we thought to fix one more woden beading with a distance to pin our charts. This solution was very creative, inexpensive, easy to do and for sure avoided the scratches/ damages on wall.

Step 3DO

We measured the portion of the bench and seat that touches the wall. • A wooden reaper of the same measurement was nailed into the wall and later covered with a flannel. • A similar reaper was fixed above at a certain distance so that we could pin our charts.

Our classrooms were beautiful with not just damage free walls, even colorful and informative charts were able to be displayed. Everyone appreciated our work and it inspired us that yes ! we can do it. we were also able to motivate our school mates and transform their classrooms.

More than 40

Our principal mam was very happy and announced about this in school assembly. Our seniors were astonished to see our neat and clean classroom and wanted to implement the same idea very soon.

Taking permission form school authorities / management, as they were worried that this idea would further tamper the walls was a challenge . We were able convince them with a good presentation of our solution and implement this in one class room as a pilot project in the beginning. we also promised not to damage the walls further.

7-15 Days

Quality Education

We think so because the quality education can happen in an quality environment.

Step 4 SHARE

We presented our idea in the school assembly and other classrooms to our friends, teachers and school authorities. Initially our friends were both apprehensive and happy.

More than 100

The idea will be implemented in other classrooms of our school.
